The first listing is closest to class, followed by the next four that are within half an hour drive from class.

CHINA CAMP STATE PARK
Go North Hwy 101 from Corte Madera (3 miles), N. San Pedro exit, and East 3 miles. (415) 456-0766.
30 primitive walk-in sites, RVs in parking lot. Tent camping at Back Ranch Meadow. $35 per night. Reservations through Reserve America 1-800-444-7275. First come, first served. Walk in and hand carry 50 to 300 yards.

MOUNT TAMALPAIS STATE PARK
West of class near the Pacific coast. (415) 388-2070.
No car camping. Walk-in sites, $35 per night. Reserve America at 1-800-444-7275 for reservations.
NOTES:
There are two campgrounds:
1) Pantoll is tents only and is a 1st come first serve site (Usually has turn over every day except for August). Walk in to approx. 500 feet. Five people max and no pets. No showers - out houses provided.
2) Steep Ravine Environmental Camp Ground (located along shore) Some disabled access. Must have reservations. Tents and cabins. All walk in 500 ft. 5 people max; one car; no pets/ $35 per night. 
Cabins are basic with four walls, roof, wood burning stove, sleeping platform - rest is provided by you. Cabins are $100 per night. No showers - do have flush toilets

GOLDEN GATE NATIONAL RECREATION AREA
Marin Headlands. (415) 331-1540 for reservations. Reservations will be taken up to 90 days in advance. (3 day camping limit at a time)
Kirby Cove - four group sites, 2 to 10 people per site. Disabled access. Closed Nov. to March. 
Battery Alexander - Group site, 15 people minimum, 80 max. Limited disabled access.
Haypress - five sites, max. of 4 people per site. ¾ mile from Tennessee Valley parking lot.
Hawk Camp - 3 sites, max. of 4 people per site. Hike-in 3.5 miles from visitor center.
Bicentennial Camp - 3 sites, maximum of 2 people per site. 100 yards from road.

SAMUEL P. TAYLOR STATE PARK

Northwest of class about 12 miles. 65 camp sites. $35 per night. Showers available. Disabled access campsites and restrooms. Fire rings, showers, flush toilets, and firewood available. Redwood forest, good for kids. 3 1/2 mile paved flat accessible trail. Reservations required. Call Reserve America 1-800-444-7275. 

KOA CAMPGROUND - PETALUMA

About 30 miles north of class conveniently near Hwy. 101, corner of Stony Point and Rainsville Roads. 
312 sites, accommodates tents and RV's. Depending on season and day of week, charges are $45 and up per RV site; $29.95 and up per tent site (2 people). Camping cabins $73 and up. Showers, laundry, store, pool, play ground, club room, dog walk, dump station. Disabled accessible.

OLEMA RANCH CAMPGROUND

200 campsites. $40-$58 RV hook-up, $32-$44 tent site depending on season and day of week. $3 extra person, $2 extra vehicle, showers to non-campers $5.00. Showers and flush toilets, wireless internet access. Laundry facilities available. 

POINT REYES YOUTH HOSTEL
Off Limantour Road within Point Reyes National Seashore (415) 663-8811
Fully equipped kitchen showers, BBQ, patio. Limited disabled access. From $22 per person/night. Office hours: 4:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. and 7:30 am - 9:30 am. Call to verify.
